HASS AVOCADOS SPAIN
Our Hass avocados are located in the Genal Valley and Guadiaro Valley, in the heart of the provinces of Malaga and Cadiz, a paradise of contrasts due to its relief and vegetation.
Unique climate, soil and landscape that favour the best production of our ORGANIC HASS AVOCADOES SPAIN.
AN IDEAL ENVIRONMENT
Our climate is ideal for the cultivation of the tropical HASS AVOCADO. High heat and controlled subsoil humidity.
Average temperatures without big differences between day and night.
Lots of sunlight, branches that are not in the sun are not productive. Pruning is done in such a way that light reaches all branches except the central one.
Our soils are light and well drained.
Watering is controlled and without puddles.
We use quality water frequently, controlling when it is needed and measuring up to what depth it has humidity. This way the accumulation of salts is less and favours the production.
WHAT IS THE HASS AVOCADO?
The fruit and seed are relatively small, weighing between 200 and 300 g together. The skin is somewhat leathery, rough, green to slightly blackish in colour when on the tree; once harvested it turns from purplish to black as the fruit softens as it ripens, so the consumer recognises the optimum time to eat it.
The Hass avocado fruit is of excellent quality, without fibre, high resistance to transport and long life after harvesting, it is highly rich in B-complex vitamins and vitamin E.
In general, the tree of this variety flowers only once a year, from the beginning to the middle of spring, depending on the variety and the thermal accumulation of the place, it can take between six and eleven months to ripen. The Hass variety, especially in cool climates, can remain on the tree once ripe for several months without any apparent deterioration, which greatly extends the harvesting period.
